Le giovani Fanelli e Fraser, voci levigatissime di ottima tenuta, controllate con superba maestria, non hanno lesinato momenti "operistici", come quando si guardavano cantando, quasi a sostenersi a vicenda, di fronte alla tragedia di una madre che contempla il figlio morto. Notevole la loro intesa. Nel diverso grado di abbandono alla musica le due hanno quasi tradito i rispettivi retaggi culturali: più comunicativo il soprano pugliese: più controllato il contralto australiano. Eppure vocalmente Fanelli e Fraser erano pari, preparatissime e convincenti, a riprova del fatto che è stato proprio giusto attribuire a loro ex aequo il premio del concorso di canto barocco realizzato da Spazio e Musica"
